Figuring Out…

Developing Your Creative Practice fund

Tuesday 14 June 2022, 6-7:30pm

We’re pleased to offer our next online workshop to support artists & creatives who are planning an application to Round 14 of Arts Council England’s Developing Your Creative Practice (DYCP) programme. Taking place on Tuesday 14 June (6-7:30pm) and led by Mark Devereux, this workshop will address the core questions helping you create a strong application.

As one of the core funders for individual artists, Arts Council England grants can unlock and create important developmental opportunities to help you take your practice and ideas to the next level. The online workshop (via Zoom) will take an in-depth look at the application process for the DYCP programme – dissecting the questions, what they mean and the detail the assessors are looking for.

In addition to the workshop we are pleased to offer participating artists a 10% discount on booking a one-to-one mentoring and advice session with Mark Devereux to support your application. Please note: there are limited numbers of places available for these sessions and will be booked on a first-come-first-served basis.

This workshop is independent from Arts Council England, sharing the knowledge and experience Mark has built from previous successful grant applications.

Making an application to the Developing Your Creative Practice fund is part of our brand-new series of workshops and short courses, Figuring Out… Taking place online and in-person, Mark Devereux Projects will take a deep dive into some of the most fundamental aspects of creating and sustaining an artist career.

We are proud to also introduce our new Pay It Forward ticket scheme, giving two new options to support artists from low income backgrounds. For further information please click here.

Testimonials

“I highly recommend Mark Devereux Projects’ Developing Your Creative Practice Application Writing Workshop. It really helped me to focus on the information Arts Council needed from me to make my application successful; which parts of my proposal should be given more weight in each section of the application form, to think about what the key milestones are of my proposed project, the type of language to use, what impact the funding would have on my career and how all of this fits in with the Arts Council’s Let’s Create Strategy. I am very grateful to Mark Devereux Projects for their help in making my application successful.” [Gareth Kemp, previous workshop participant, garethkemp.com]

I just wanted to let you know that, thanks to you, my DYCP funding application was successful! I genuinely couldn’t have done it without your support…” [Previous workshop participant]
