Selling your work can be a core outlet for many artists and can help fund future creative developments. Led by independent curator & mentor Mark Devereux, this online short-course will give you the tools, knowledge and insight to help you take those next big leaps in generating more income from your work.

Workshop/Course Info

Session 1: Monday 17 June, 6-7:30pm
We will look at the core structures that you can incorporate into your planning to create the foundation for a successful commercial strategy. This includes: setting your artist day rate/fee, understanding your incomings/outgoings and building a financial forecast. Using this information, we will guide you through creating a pricing strategy to ensure consistency, certificates of authenticity and sales agreement documents.

Session 2: Monday 24 June, 6-7:30pm
In this session we will focus on approaches to selling your work including: self-representation, art fairs, gallery representation and private commissions. We will also spend time discussing the power of negotiation – offering collectors unique discounts and benefits alongside ensuring you have the tools and confidence to sell your work on the best terms.
