Sophie Lee: Space & Place, Left Bank Leeds
Mark Devereux Projects’ artist Sophie Lee will be showing new work as part of Space & Place at Left Bank Leeds from 14-16 July 2016.
This exhibition brings together the work of artists whose diverse practices explore the notion of ‘space and place’. The works observe and question public and private spaces, how spaces are used, how space becomes a place, identity, community, politics, gender, nature and the built environment.
The summer exhibition is a continuation of a Left Bank Leeds arts program supported by Arts Council England and Leeds City Council exploring the theme of ‘space and place’. The program began in the spring of 2016 when Left Bank Leeds hosted a residency for four artists to make site specific work in response to the space; the program will also feature a series of summer photography workshops and the autumn will see us present a photography exhibition featuring the work of Abandoned Yorkshire alongside submissions made as a result of the workshops.
Free Event. All welcome.
